Dallas-born scientist David Hanson is rolling out a mini version of his celebrity robot Sophia.

You'll recall that she has appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, gone on a date with actor Will Smith and garnered nearly 100,000 Twitter followers.

Hanson calls Sophia a "spokesbot" for a future when all humans will live with robot companions. These bots will help solve problems too complex for humans to solve alone and guide them on a path to self-actualization, he told The Dallas Morning News last summer.

"Little Sophia," unlike her complex big sister, is available to take home. She costs $149 on Kickstarter, with delivery estimated in December.
